Welcome to Bell House
Bell House is a volunteer led charity that provides creative learning for people of all ages and backgrounds. Our vision is to offer an opportunity to gather for learning, enjoyment and friendship in a special place. We are: Collaborative, Curious, Generous, Inclusive, Kind, Open, Reliable.
Bell House offers a combination of online and in-person events, with a little something for everyone.
From taster film making courses to weekly poetry evenings, Bell Creatives provides information on the various arts and culture courses talks that are available at Bell House.
From questions about vaccinations and cancer to concerns about periods, menopause, anxiety and panic attacks, Bell Health runs regular events and support groups that are designed to help with better understanding of specific health-related topics.
From dyslexia screenings to training sessions for parents and teachers supporting individuals with dyslexia, our main aim is to empower dyslexic learners through our events and carefully crafted resources.
Run mostly by volunteers, Bell House Regulars are regular groups that meet either weekly or fortnightly for activities such as quilt making, gardening, reading and much more!
Bell House is driven by its volunteers, who contribute their time and ideas. Volunteers are involved in all aspects of the charity, from gardening to fundraising.
Happy New Year! 2024 could be your year for learning a new skill, meeting new friends and enjoying the peaceful space at Bell House. Why not come along to one of our workshops or talks?
ART, SKILLS & CRAFTS: try out something new this Spring: create an illuminated letter, bookbinding, drawing, and pottery. We still have spaces left on our Throwing Big workshop taught by Kyra Stratoudaki.

DRAMA: we are forming a Drama Club for 12-16s starting in April, lead by Faisal Acosta.
DYSLEXIA: Our popular touch-typing course will run during the easter break in April.
TALKS: learn more about where you live through our history talks where we will be covering the Lost Mansions of Dulwich Village.

Volunteering at Bell House
We need you!
Volunteering is a great way to meet people from all walks of life, try something new and help out great causes no matter your age.
The Bell House Publicity Team is looking for a volunteer to help publicise our events to a wider audience. This is a creative opportunity for those wanting to gain experience and be part of a friendly welcoming team.
The Bell Health Project aims to spread knowledge of good physical and mental health, using events and films. We are looking for volunteers interested in publicising our events and developing links with local GP practices, to join the current group.
Bell House is looking for volunteer Events Co-ordinators to join our team and assist with the implementation of our programme of events and activities. You will help plan the programme of talks and workshops, liaise with the Bell House project leaders and speakers, and oversee the logistics for both online and in-person events.
