Bell House is driven by its volunteers, who contribute their time and ideas to the project. Volunteers are involved in all aspects of the charity, from gardening to fundraising – below we have listed the many ways you can get involved.
GARDEN VOLUNTEERS Garden volunteers help manage the beautiful two acre garden, maintaining the tranquil environment to learn in. The garden volunteering group is a social and jovial group, who meet on Saturday and Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:30. Volunteers come to the sessions they can – there is no need to commit to every week. Any experience in gardening is welcome, and the head garden volunteer, Sarah, will find a job for you whatever your level. All we ask is that you wear good strong shoes and dress warmly for cold weather. After every session we have tea, coffee, croissant, and a friendly discussion.

EVENTS VOLUNTEERS Volunteers help with the running of our talks and courses. Our volunteer co-ordinators (Nicola and Sladjana) send out a list of events that are happening in the coming months, so volunteers can sign up to the events they are able to help with. This means that events volunteering can be as big or small a commitment as suits you. It is a sociable role, and often means you can get a ringside seat at some of our talks or courses.
SPECIALIST VOLUNTEERS NEEDED We are always keen to hear from you if there is something specific you would be able to help us with. At the moment we are looking for people to take on these roles
