Bell House is a place for wider learning. Through short courses and other learning events, Bell House will offer:
- support for dyslexia and other specific learning differences
- enrichment through learning beyond the school curriculum and beyond school age
Bell House will be a tranquil and creative environment where people can learn new skills, collaborate in shared interests and create connections. It will be open to people of all ages and backgrounds, and free or subsidised places will be available for all activities. Learning at Bell House will reach beyond the immediate locality, since courses and events will be made freely available online.
Early offerings will include film-making, computer skills, gardening, traditional crafts, cooking, use of social media, and skills for business. The range of learning activities will be regularly reviewed in the light of demand.
Bell House is volunteer-led. The potential of the house and grounds will be maximised by activities throughout the year, including evenings, weekends and holiday periods.
Other events and lettings will generate income to support learning activities. Priority will be given to events which complement our educational purpose.
