TechTogether: Listening to music online explained!

TechTogether Event Image.png

TechTogether is a new project at Bell House providing technical support and guidance to anyone who may need it. The workshops will be led by the friendly and patient Bell House volunteers: Liam, Georgia, Katherine and Johnny!

This session is about 'Listening to Music Online'. The internet is a brilliant and useful tool that we can use for entertainment and to enjoy our hobbies. That said, some of us feel a bit unsure or unsafe online and we want to help! Although this session focuses on listening to music, it will help build your confidence and knowledge of the internet in general too.

Here are some things that we will cover in the session-

  • What YouTube is and how to use it,

  • Online radio (e.g BBC radio),

  • How to manage volume and sound settings,

  • What are music apps like Spotify and iTunes?

  • Using headphones and/or speakers

Join us for an informal discussion where no question is a silly question!

This session will be delivered using Zoom. Before the session we will send you a guide on how to install Zoom on your PC, laptop or handheld devices (like iPad's or smartphones). You will be able to call Bell House before this session if you’d like help installing Zoom over the phone or if you have any questions about the workshop.

All are welcome, including absolute tech beginners! Feel free to do the workshop with a friend or family member, within the current Covid-19 Government Guidelines.

We understand using technology can seem a bit daunting but we will do everything we can to help you feel supported, encouraged and safe whilst using it. We might even have some fun!
