This workshop involves screen printing or hand painting your designs onto fabric or paper using textile adhesive glue. Once dry, we will use a heat press to transfer the metallic foils onto the glued surface, leaving your designs shiny. You will be guided through designing, printing and foiling your own A4 textile samples and final pieces, this could be an item of clothing from home or the charity shop. Your aim is to up-cycle and transform an old piece of clothing, rather than buy something new.

As Christmas is only 5 weeks away after this workshop, you could design your own Christmas jumper or make a couple of Christmas gifts!

All materials and equipment will be provided. If you have time before the workshop, feel free to cut your own A5-A4 paper stencils using old sheets of newspaper, this will all more time for printing in the workshop.

This workshop is suitable for anyone, beginners and those with experience. By the end of the two hour workshop, you will have a greater understanding of the process, the equipment and materials needed to print at home.
