Windows and Thresholds - Alternative Process Photography Workshop

Lumen/Phytogram

Lumen printing uses silver gelatine darkroom papers and a contact method to create a print. The ‘Photogram’ process, whilst very much similar to lumen, includes the addition of ‘chemicals’ and reactive agents in order to speed up the development on the surface.

In this workshop you will be able to have a go at both processes making small prints to take away. This is a cameraless process and we will use botanicals and a selection of objects, if you have something you would like to try please bring it along, fresh organic matter is the best and gets interesting results.

This workshop needs UV and a moderate amount of sun, therefore it will be dependent upon bright weather.

All ages and all abilities are welcome. The session is led by Ky Lewis.

Drop in anytime between 1-3pm. Cost £8 payable on the day (cash preferred).
