Creative Arts Club for the Over 60s: Seeing Green (HALF DAY)

Creative Arts Club for Older Adults

Our landscape is wonderfully lush and green at this time of year. Take a moment to really look, as you walk through your local streets, parks and gardens, and you will notice just how many different shades of green there are.

We might bring in some examples of the many types of green foliage we find back into the class. You will learn to identify and match colours, you will learn about colour temperature and tone in an easy and fun way by making colour charts in a special “Bell House” sketchbook (provided). We will use acrylic and water colour paints.

These exercises will help your understanding of basic colour principles, useful not only for art practise but also when putting together colours in a domestic or decorative setting.

This class is suitable for all levels experience from beginner onwards!

Materials -

All materials, including your own “Bell House” sketchbook, are included.

If you have any of your own brushes and water-based paints please feel free to bring these in. We will be going outside for the first 20 minutes of the class - do bring an umbrella just in case!

Refreshments (tea, coffee, biscuits) will be provided

This is a half-day event.
