An affirmation trail through the Bell House garden to help us recognise our inner qualities, skills and strengths
We would like to invite you to join a guided Affirmation Trail with us during the Dyslexia Fair.
The Affirmation Trail will be taking place in the garden from 12pm onwards. You will be guided on a relaxed walk through the beautiful garden, stopping to enjoy breathing activities and complete positive affirmations.
Together we will take time to reflect on our past, build our hopes for the future, and consider the importance of making positive connections.
Why should you take part?
Taking part in the Affirmation Trail may help children, young people, and adults with dyslexia feel calmer, stronger, and more confident. The trail reminds us that we are not alone, that our challenges do not define us, and that we have the strength to succeed.
-
People with dyslexia often face a lot of stress and worry about reading, writing, or making mistakes.
Saying or reading positive affirmations can help calm the brain and reduce feelings of fear or pressure.
-
Many people with dyslexia blame themselves for their struggles and doubt their abilities.
Affirmations like “I am capable,” or “I can do hard things” help replace self-doubt with positive self-talk.
-
Affirmations can help shift the brain from bad stress (feeling helpless) to good stress (feeling ready for a challenge).
This helps people feel more in control and ready to try new things.
-
The affirmation trail gives people a chance to feel accepted, encouraged, and understood.
Feeling supported helps reduce the fear of being judged or embarrassed.
-
Positive messages help people with dyslexia believe they can learn, improve, and succeed—even when tasks are hard.
This makes it easier to face challenges without giving up.
-
Learning to manage stress and build confidence is key to long-term success in school, work, and life.
Affirmations are a small but powerful step in helping people feel in control of their future.
We really hope you will take the opportunity to join the trail - you matter!
