Join us at Bell House for an introductory beekeeping course.

With the help of beekeeper Philip Nicholson, we have now established a small apiary at Bell House with a view to supporting beekeeping and bee-related educational events.

The session is aimed at people who have little or no experience of beekeeping, but are interested in knowing more, perhaps with a view to starting to keep bees themselves or with others - or perhaps not! All beginners welcome.

Topics to be covered include: the honey bee colony; the beehive; the beekeeping year; honey; swarming and swarm management; pests and diseases; beekeeping equipment and costs.

We look forward to introducing you to this fascinating craft!
