Technology to Transform Learning with Dyslexia

tech tips pic.jpg

Dyslexic children and others that struggle at school are often extremely bright, yet they underachieve academically, because they are not taught the way they learn. Technology is now available to transform this.

Find out more about the vast range of apps and IT solutions that can boost both confidence and attainment.

The talk is aimed at anyone interested in IT for dyslexics including parents, teachers, tutors, adult dyslexics, or older children.

Our speaker Caroline Bateman is a learning consultant with personal experience of dyslexia. She brings her professional, and personal dyslexia experience together in this interactive workshop.   All three of her children were failing at school until Caroline gave up her career in the IT industry to help them.   Now they are all totally exceeding expectations. Inspired by their success, and alarmed that many schools were not utilising basic technology, Caroline started running after-school clubs to help improve attainment. This enabled her to further develop techniques to help many learners.

Tickets cost £10.

Free and subsidised places are available, please contact [email protected] for information.
