TechTogether: tips for choosing a mobile phone contract

TechTogether is a project at Bell House providing technical support and guidance to anyone who may need it. The workshops will be led by the friendly and patient Bell House volunteers: Liam, Benjamin, Philip, Georgia, Katherine, Johnny, John, Ben and Lucy!

This session will provide you with tips on how to choose a mobile phone plan. Here are some things that will be covered in the session:

What is a mobile phone plan and how is it relevant to me?

What does jargon like ‘gb’ or ‘data’ or ‘roaming’ mean?

What’s the difference between data and wifi?

What’s the difference between a monthly contract and pay-as-you-go?

...any questions you’d like answered!

The session will be an informal discussion where no question is a silly question!

This session will be delivered using Zoom. Before the session we will send you a guide on how to install Zoom on your PC, laptop or handheld devices (like iPad's or smartphones). You will be able to call Bell House before this session if you’d like help installing Zoom over the phone or if you have any questions about the workshop.

All skill levels are welcome, including absolute beginners! Feel free to do the workshop with a friend or family member, within the current Covid-19 Government Guidelines.
