TechTogether: An Introduction to Video Calling on Zoom

TechTogether Event Image.png

TechTogether is a project at Bell House providing technical support and guidance to anyone who may need it. The workshops are led by a friendly and patient member of the TechTogether team; Liam, Georgia, Katherine, Ben and Johnny.

This session will be about Zoom. Zoom is an online video-calling platform that can help you stay connected with your friends and family. It is also what we will be using to deliver the TechTogether sessions. Here are some things that will be covered in the first session-

● A ‘tour’ of Zoom so you can familiarise yourself

with how it looks,

● How to turn your video camera on and off,

● How to turn your audio on and off,

● How to change your screen name.

Before the session we will send you a guide on how to install Zoom on your PC, laptop or handheld devices (like iPad's or smartphones). You will be able to call Bell House before this session if you’d like Emily to help you install Zoom over the phone or if you have any questions about the workshop.

All skill levels are welcome, including absolute beginners! Feel free to do the workshop with a friend or family member, within the current Covid-19 Government

Guidelines. We understand using technology can seem a bit daunting but we will do everything we can to help you feel supported, encouraged and safe whilst using it. We mighteven have some fun!
