Fantastic Flowers and the Creatures that Pollinate Them

Flowers are billboards, advertising to insects and other animals that pollinate them. Our speaker Dr Sarah Arnold will discuss threats to pollinators in our human-dominated world, and some of the things we as individuals can do to support populations in the future.

About Dr Sarah Arnold:

Dr Sarah Arnold is a Senior Lecturer in Insect Behaviour and Ecology at the Natural Resources Institute. Her research interests include the colour vision of flower-visiting insects, and how they learn about flowers, but she also works more widely on managing habitats (in the UK and also East Africa) for beneficial insects. She is particularly fascinated by the pollination of delicious things such as cocoa trees and strawberry plants!
