Creative Arts: Working with Gold

Come and take part in this taster session for our new Creative Arts Club for older adults (60+). Studies have proved that creativity is important for our well-being and experienced local artist Sarah Wetherall will be offering a variety of different arts and crafts classes, suitable for all abilities.

We will share stories, skills and enjoy companionship whilst taking part in a creative activity in this lovely setting.

In this delightful gilding workshop we will be celebrating Spring and the return of the light. Together we will contemplate the  many qualities and uses of gold, and even a link to Bell House!

Participants will have the opportunity to handle and work with some of the traditional materials for the craft before making a gilded wooden tile to take home.

All materials and tea and coffee will be provided.

About the Artist/Workshop Leader:

This session will be run by Sarah Wetherall, a local artist whose range is broad - from murals to miniatures she paints in a variety of media and styles. She is an experienced art tutor who has run classes and workshops for all ages, including at Dulwich Picture Gallery where she has worked for many years.

Tickets are £10 each. Bursaries are available - please email [email protected] for more information.
