Discover the timeless art of etching in this hands-on workshop led by artist printmaker Helen Adie. Perfect for beginners or those keen to develop their artistic practice, this session introduces you to one of the oldest and historic printmaking techniques.

Step into the Bell House Print Room & Bindery and be inspired by a host of visual materials, learn how to use traditional etching tools, and create your own A6 design with guidance every step of the way. Once your design is ready, you will ink it up and print a limited edition on our new intaglio press ‘Roly’ to take home and frame.

This is a rare chance to slow down, experiment with mark-making on tetrapak and other drypoint surfaces, and experience the moment when your first etching comes off the press.

All materials provided – just bring your ideas and a willingness to get inky.
