A two-person exhibition by Kim Thornton and Lucy Soni to highlight the small daily tasks that are carried out seamlessly yet invisibly through an in-depth study of toilet rolls. Kim’s body of work evolved during the 5 years she spent collecting different toilet paper patterns and uses photography, embroidery, making, film and bookmaking. Lucy took a large collection of toilet roll inner tubes from her bathroom and combined them with painting, sculpture and installation processes inspired by Rachel Whiteread’s retrospective at the Tate.
