Curator talk: The Power of Trees at Kew

Hear Kew Gallery Curator, Maria Devaney, talk about The Power of Trees - a new exhibition at the Royal Botanic Gardens this summer of 2025. 

Discover how the exhibition was curated and how it seeks to unlock the secrets of the forest. Maria will present the enduring beauty, significance and inspiration of trees across art and culture with particular focus on the conifer tree, botanical art, and works by renowned artist Eija-Liisa Ahtila. 

Maria Devaney is a galleries & exhibitions leader at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. She holds a BA (Hons) in History of Art, Design and Film and a postgraduate diploma in museum studies. She has extensive experience working as a curator in the museum sector, including with National Trust and Kew Gardens. 

Tickets are £7 per person. This talk will be held in-person at Bell House.
