Dyslexia in Adulthood: Real Stories
Dyslexia doesn't end at school. For many adults, it shapes how they work, communicate and see themselves every day. On Wednesday 18th November at 7.30pm, Bell House invites you to an evening that is honest, inspiring and practical.
Introducing new support for adults
We'll open the evening with the launch of Bell House's new Dyslexia for Adults programme. Bell House volunteers Ambra Parisi and Michael Gonzalez will share what's coming, including support with confidence building, time management, speaking with impact, and practical approaches to reading and writing.
Two experiences
Next, Tanya Savini and Nick Park join us for a fireside chat about living and working with dyslexia.
Nick grew up and went to school locally, but wasn't diagnosed until adulthood, after years of struggling through school. He retook his English GCSE at college, went on to earn a Journalism degree, and is now writing a book about his experiences.
Tanya spent 20 years in the private sector, including at a global IT corporation, before becoming Head of Campaign Delivery at Friends of the Earth. She'll also reflect on moving from the private to the NGO sector, and the techniques that have helped her thrive at work.
Your questions
The evening ends with an open Q&A, giving you the chance to put your own questions to our guests.
This talk is free and will be held in-person at Bell House.
