Have you an idea for a feature film, TV Drama pilot episode or a short film? Here's your chance to start putting it into writing with award-winning drama producer Peter Ansorge, former Head of Drama at Channel 4, whose successes include 'A Very British Coup', 'The Politician's Wife' and 'The Camomile Lawn.' Peter currently teaches screenwriting at the National Film & TV School. Many of his student writers take his courses with little or no previous experience of writing professionally. An impressive number have had those scripts accepted and further developed by current Independent Production Companies. See: https://nfts.co.uk/people/peter-ansorge
At the end of the four Saturdays, you will have completed a good draft of a completed script. It can be a feature film, TV pilot or short. The course will begin, on the first Saturday, with a discussion on what makes great screenwriting. Clips will be shown. The class will talk about the script they want to develop. The atmosphere will be that of a professional Writers Room where you'll support each other’s projects positively with showrunner Peter leading and advising.
Committed work, passion for an idea, and also a context for real enjoyment.
The course costs £140 per person and will be held over four consecutive Saturday afternoons: 11 April, 18 April, 25 April & 2 May.
