This exhibition showcases the work of students from the Saturday Drawing Club. It celebrates drawing as something playful, experimental, and carefree and a space to learn through doing.
At Bell House, we believe that making things is good for you. This exhibition champions the benefit of imperfect making, embracing the process rather than focusing on a finished outcome.
All of the works on display were created during life drawing sessions led by Artist in Residence Rosie Bayliss. Each week, a different model is dressed in a new outfit, and participants are guided through a range of drawing exercises. Across these Saturday afternoon sessions, the group has explored playful approaches such as continuous line drawing, blind drawing, and caricature. The aim of these classes is to encourage freedom and experimentation in mark making.
Artworks are not for sale.
Exhibition curated by Rosie Bayliss and Chris Allen.
It will run from Friday 17th April to Sunday 19th April, 10am to 4pm.
