Join artist Alexandra Oliver for an intimate 2.5-hour oil painting workshop held within the VIRIDIS exhibition space.

In this session, Alexandra will introduce the foundations of landscape painting, sharing the classical approaches she studied during her training at the Florence Academy of Art. Participants will be guided through key principles used by painters for centuries, including establishing structure, working with tone, and building atmosphere in oil paint. 

Working from a landscape reference connected to the themes of the exhibition, participants will create their own painted study while gaining insight into Alexandra’s approach to painting nature.

The workshop will use water-mixable oil paints, offering the richness and depth of traditional oils without the need for solvents.

Suitable for beginners as well as those with some painting experience.
