Make booking pottery simple, clear and welcoming

For many customers, the box office is their first contact with Bell House Pottery.

We're looking for someone organised, friendly and practical to take ownership of our booking process and help make sure that the systems work, the information is right and customers feel looked after.

You'll manage courses and bookings through Ticket Tailor, answer customer questions, deal with transfers and refunds, and use your judgement to solve problems when things don't go quite to plan.

You'll also develop your knowledge of Ticket Tailor and help us make better use of the system, finding ways to improve how we manage bookings and communicate with customers.

Help more people discover Bell House Pottery

We have a great programme of courses and workshops. The challenge is making sure people know about them — and finding new audiences who might not yet have discovered us.

We're looking for someone who can take ownership of our marketing, making sure the essentials happen while bringing fresh ideas and creative energy to the way we promote the pottery.

You'll oversee our regular email marketing, help build our local presence, explore new promotional opportunities and think about how we can reach beyond our existing audience.

This is an opportunity to shape the pottery's public profile, rather than simply carry out a list of marketing tasks.

Help us keep Bell House Pottery financially healthy

Good financial management gives the pottery the freedom to concentrate on what it does best — providing opportunities for people to learn, create and connect through ceramics.

We're looking for someone comfortable with numbers who can help us understand the financial picture, plan ahead and make sensible decisions.

You'll help monitor income and spending, prepare termly financial reports, contribute to budgets and forecasts, and advise on questions such as course pricing and new projects.

You won't be expected to do all the bookkeeping. This is a role about oversight, judgement and helping the team understand what the numbers mean.

If you have experience of budgets, accounts or financial management and would enjoy using those skills to support a creative community organisation, this could be a very rewarding role.

Help our volunteers feel supported, connected and valued

Volunteers are at the heart of Bell House Pottery. We want to make sure that the people who give their time to the pottery have a great experience too.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, bringing people together and helping others feel part of a team.

You'll help welcome new volunteers, support people in their roles, identify where we need more help and develop ways of keeping volunteers connected and appreciated.

You'll also help us build a more resilient volunteer community — encouraging buddy systems, shared responsibilities and cross-training so that no one feels that they are carrying an important job alone.

If you're a good listener, an organiser and someone who enjoys creating a friendly and supportive community, we'd love to hear from you.

Help bring the joy of clay to more people

We want Bell House Pottery to be accessible to people who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience ceramics.

We're looking for someone who can help us connect with community groups and organisations across South London and develop our outreach programme.

You'll identify groups who could benefit from free pottery sessions, build relationships with them, and organise around six outreach sessions each year in partnership with our tutors and volunteers.

You'll also have the opportunity to help the programme grow and develop new connections with community and health organisations.
