CANCELLED From Bears to Stags – adventures with my camera

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT HAS HAD TO BE CANCELLED

Whether you are an amateur photographer or simply curious about wildlife, join us to hear Cathy Cooper

“My camera is my best inanimate friend. I’ve taken it trekking in the Himalaya; through swamps of rotting salmon in British Columbia; on a tiny Cessna flying along a glacier in the Yukon; and kayaking in the Arctic Ocean. We both love adventures.

My images have been published extensively in magazine articles and used in travel features especially by the Mail on Sunday.

Closer to home, I undertake personal projects such as capturing the action at a travelling circus or documenting the restoration of Pope’s Grotto. My work has been exhibited both locally and nationwide. In 2019, I had my own solo show in Orleans House Stables Gallery in Twickenham.

Since lockdown, I still have adventures but now concentrate on capturing the local wildlife in my role as a volunteer ranger for Royal Parks.

So once it was bears in Canada and now it is stags in Bushy Park. I still get the same joy discovering birds, insects and mammals in their natural habitat and getting a photo is a bonus.”
