Drawing from the Garden

Artwork by Liz Charsley-Jory

Taking inspiration from the Bell House garden, Liz Charsley-Jory will lead three sessions drawing art out of natural life. Venturing outside before settling down to draw, you will have the chance to explore our garden in February, gathering photos, inspiration and ideas for drawing.

Liz will lead the sessions indoors, with a view out over the garden. Participants will draw from life - from the view, from photos, from a still life using natural objects. If the February weather is kind, however, the workshop may run in the open air...

Materials will be provided: these include pencil, pen and wash, charcoal, and watercolour. There will be plenty of paper and drawing boards too. Liz will be on hand to guide and advise on the use of all media, so participants can either try something new or develop existing skills - feel free to bring your own favourite materials!

This course is open to all abilities and will run Saturday mornings, 10:00am-12:30pm, on these dates:

01/02/20

08/02/20

15/02/20

Tickets are £20 per workshop. Bursary places are available - please email [email protected] for the details.
