Afternoon tea in the Bell House gardens

A joint fundraising garden tea party to celebrate the work of Fine Cell Work and Bell House’s own Quilt Academy, whilst also enjoying the Bell House garden.

Come and enjoy the wonderful space and see how we are maintaining, restoring and developing the gardens. 

With the support of Quilt Academy, we will have a small exhibition of quilts and sale of products.

Tickets £10 and include tea and homemade cake. There are subsidised tickets for students and under30s, and children go free! All proceeds will go directly to Fine Cell Work and Bell House.

There will also be a raffle on the day with some amazing local prizes.

About Fine Cell Work

Fine Cell Work is a charity and social enterprise which teaches prisoners and ex-prisoners to stitch beautiful handmade products as a way of rehabilitation.

Working in 32 prisons and with an employment training hub in Battersea, Fine Cell Work trains and pays men and women to do skilled craftwork in their cells, and on sewing and embroidery machines in workshops. The making and selling of prisoners’ high-quality needlework boosts their self-worth, instils self-discipline and fosters hope. Fine Cell Work’s aim is for stitchers to leave prison with the skills and self-belief to lead independent, crime-free lives.

Many of Fine Cell Work’s products are designed in collaboration with the country’s leading contemporary designers such as Neisha Crosland, Cath Kidston, Kit Kemp, Pentreath & Hall, Blithfield and Cressida Bell. The unique ranges encompass cushions, accessories, table linens and furniture. Exquisite bespoke pieces are created on commission for designers, artists and private clients.
