The Creative Arts Club – Art for All | Expressive and Experimental Drawing

  • Bell House Dulwich 27 College Rd England, SE21 7BG United Kingdom (map)

Everyone can draw! It is something we all do so naturally as children but often we lose the habit or the confidence as we move through school, and life. Drawing is a practice that can bring joy and freedom, whether it be doodling on a notepad or making a more formal study.

We will take inspiration from artists past and present and examine their use of different marks and materials to produce different effects, life and energy.

During the first part of the class, we will look at the work of artists past and present and examine how they use different materials and marks to express themselves and their subject.

You will then experiment with mark making, materials and be guided through some great drawing exercises. During the second part of the class, you will be encouraged to bring the exercises together and make a more considered study.

This class is for everyone, from the absolute beginner to the more experienced artist – come along and reconnect with the joy of drawing.

ALL MATERIALS PROVIDED.
