Experience an evening of British chamber music with the Holtág Quartet at the historic Bell House.
This programme brings together a rich and diverse selection of rarely heard music spanning more than two centuries, celebrating the variety of British musical voices and exploring connections between tradition, lyricism, folk influences and the bold musical language of the twentieth century.
The Holtág Quartet is a dynamic ensemble with a repertoire spanning classical and contemporary works, from Haydn, Beethoven and Ravel to Crumb, Maconchy and Glass. Shortly after their formation in 2025, the quartet was selected to pilot the Ensemble Pathways course – a specialist chamber music diploma – at Trinity Laban, supported by Philip Carne MBE.
They have performed at leading venues including Wigmore Hall, Queen’s House, the Painted Hall, and at Lancaster House. Within their first year, the Holtág Quartet were finalists in the 2025 Cavatina Intercollegiate Competition, recipients of the Sir John Barbirolli Prize for String Quartets at Trinity Laban and made their debut on BBC Radio 3 In Tune.
