Following the sold-out introductory oil painting workshop held during her ‘Viridis’ exhibition in May, Alexandra Oliver returns to lead another workshop. It will be a relaxed three-hour landscape painting session, exploring the rich colours and atmosphere of an autumnal landscape using water-based oil paints.
During the session, Alexandra will guide you through the process of developing a landscape painting, from establishing the composition and tonal structure to building depth, colour and mood. The workshop will encourage an expressive approach, helping you to simplify the landscape and respond confidently to seasonal colour.
The session will include demonstrations, individual guidance and time to develop your own painting, with a short refreshment break midway through.
Suitable for beginners and those with some previous painting experience.
All materials will be provided. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided during the break.
Alexandra completed her BA in Fine Art with History of Art at the University of Leeds, studied at the Florence Academy of Art and holds an MA in Fine and Decorative Art and Design from Sotheby's Institute of Art in London. Her artwork is inspired by the woodlands of Suffolk, where she is based. See more of her work via her website www.alexandraoliver.co.uk or via instagram @alex_oliver_art
