Award-winning poet Jenny Mitchell and non-fiction writer Niall Kishtainy will co-facilitate a non-judgemental creative session for writers who want to explore writing in a new genre, whether they are poets writing novels for the first time, or novelists writing non-fiction etc. There will be plenty of time to write and share work. For people experienced in at least one genre.
Jenny has three poetry collections, two of which are prize-winning. She’s won numerous competitions, and was the inaugural Poet-in-the-Community for Cork City Libraries in 2025. She’s a poetry co-editor for the Morning Star and a facilitator for the Irish Writer’s Centre. She edited the anthology Everyone Started Singing: Poetry and Community in 2026, and recently won an Arthur Welton award.
Niall writes narrative non-fiction with a focus on the history of ideas, utopias, cities and economics. He's the author of The Infinite City: Utopian Dreams on the Streets of London, which was a Waterstones and TLS Best Book of 2023, and of A Little History of Economics, which has been translated into over 25 languages.
