ART, SKILLS & CRAFTS: try out something new this Spring/Summer: build on your bookbinding skills with visible stitches binding, tapestry weaving and pottery. View the ten oil paintings artist-in-residence Atalanta has produced during her time at Bell House.
BELL HEALTH: we have joined up with Menopause Connections to start a monthly Menopause Support group. Our upcoming talk will be on mental health during the perimenopause.
CREATIVE WRITING: learn how to build a narrative that people will enjoy reading through an eight-week writing course taught by Isabelle Grey.
MUSIC: spend an evening enchanted by performances of fringe poetry & music, guitar or a baroque ensemble.
Bell House Gift Vouchers
We offer Bell House Gift Vouchers! Choose from a Bell House Pottery Workshop Voucher or a Bell House Events Voucher which can be redeemed at future events. We have lots of exciting workshops and talks planned for 2024.
The Tipping Point: visit our Artists’ Open House which will feature over 40 artists. We will be open both weekends 11/12th & 18/19th May from 11am to 6pm and you can meet our curators on Thursday 16th May. During the week we have a guitar recital (14th May), a talk about celebrating demonstrations (15th May), and local cook Dani will be giving tips on how to pep up your everyday cooking (13th May).
Volunteering at Bell House
We need you!
Volunteering is a great way to meet people from all walks of life, try something new and help out great causes no matter your age.
The Bell House Publicity Team is looking for a volunteer to co-ordinate our publicity team. This will involve setting up regular meetings and is a creative opportunity for those wanting to gain experience and be part of a friendly welcoming team.
The Bell Health Project aims to spread knowledge of good physical and mental health, using events and films. We are looking for volunteers interested in publicising our events and developing links with local GP practices, to join the current group.
Bell House is looking for volunteer Events Co-ordinators to join our team and assist with the implementation of our programme of events and activities. You will help plan the programme of talks and workshops, liaise with the Bell House project leaders and speakers, and oversee the logistics for both online and in-person events.
Bell House Regulars
Bell House regular activities are expanding with Quilt Academy, Volunteer Gardening, Bell House Readers (adult literacy), ESOL for non-English speakers, Sunflower Stitchers, pottery and Shared Reading.
